Cell Marker Interactive Resource Tool
This interactive resource tool will allow you to explore the cell surface and intracellular markers that are used to identify and characterize different immune, neural, and stem cell types or specific organelles. It is designed to simplify the process of finding appropriate cell or organelle markers and allow you to easily browse our selection of highly sensitive and specific antibodies and immunoassays that can be used for detecting your marker of interest. Clicking on a marker will take you to a list of R&D Systems products for detecting that molecule, unless a marker is followed by (novusbio.com), then you will be taken to the Novus Biologicals website and shown the antibodies that they offer for detecting that molecule. When applicable, relevant flow cytometry or IHC data generated in-house using R&D Systems or Novus Biologicals antibodies is presented at the bottom of the page.
Immune Cells
Immune cells are frequently identified based on the expression of cell surface and intracellular markers. Explore this section of our interactive resource tool to view the markers that are most commonly used in the scientific literature to distinguish different immune cell types or cell type-specific subsets.
See All Immune CellsNeural Cells
Neural cells are frequently identified and visualized by detecting cell-specific surface and intracellular markers. Explore this section of our interactive resource tool to view the markers that are most commonly used to distinguish different neural cell types and neuronal structures.

The primary technique for defining subcellular localization of a molecule is to use immunocytochemistry or immunohistochemistry to co-stain the protein with a known organelle-associated marker. Explore this section of our interactive resource tool to view the markers that are most commonly used to distinguish different organelles.
