Adhesion Blockade

The adhesion of HSB2 human peripheral blood acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells (5 x 10⁴ cells/well) to immobilized Recombinant Human ICAM-3/CD50 Fc Chimera (Catalog # 715-IC, 12.5 µg/mL, 100 µL/well) was maximally inhibited (80-100%) by 25 µg/mL of the antibody.

Background: ICAM-3/CD50

Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-3 (ICAM-3; also known as CD50), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, binds the leukocyte integrins LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and alpha _d/ beta ₂. ICAM‑3 is expressed on leukocytes and epidermal Langerhans cells. It may play an important role in T cell stimulation by Langerhans cells. ICAM-3 has not been identified in the mouse.
