Detection of Claudin‑10 in HepG2 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line was stained with Mouse Anti-Human Claudin-10 b Isoform Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4279, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB0041, open histogram), followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG F(ab')₂Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0102B).

Background: Claudin-10b

Claudin-10 is a 228 amino acid multipass membrane protein in the Claudin family of epithelial tight junction proteins. Two splice forms of human Claudin-10 have been described with a divergent N-terminal extracellular loop. Claudin-10b (Swiss-Prot isoform 1) is relatively cation-permeant compared to Claudin-10a and is widely expressed, while Claudin‑10a is restricted to the kidney cortex. Claudin-10 is overexpressed in some carcinomas. Human Claudin‑10b shares 94% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Claudin-10.
