Detection of Pax3 in Human Skin. Pax3 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of Human Skin using Mouse Anti-Human Pax3 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB11430) at 5 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using VisUCyte Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # VCTS021). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to nuclei in keratinocytes. Background: Pax3

Pax3 belongs to the family of paired box transcription factors. Pax family proteins typically contain a paired box domain and a paired-type homeodomain. These transcription factors play critical roles during fetal development. There is 98% homology between human and mouse Pax3.
