Detection of Layilin in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human Layilin and eGFP by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with (A) Layilin or (B) irrelevant protein, and eGFP were stained with Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse Layilin Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2637) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Background: Layilin

Layilin is a type I transmembrane protein that acts as a receptor for hyaluronan. It has an extracellular C-type lectin domain and a 123 aa cytoplasmic domain that interacts with the cytoskeleton. The amino acid sequence of recombinant human Layilin is 85%, 82%, 80%, 79% and 76% identical to that of hamster, canine, bovine, mouse and rat.
