Scientific Data
Detection of Human Reg3A by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human small intestine tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human Reg3A Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB5965) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for Reg3A at approximately 17 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Reg3A in HepG2 Human Cell Line. Reg3A was detected in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human Reg3A Mono-clonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB5965) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the Northern-Lights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.

Background: Reg3A
Reg3A, also named Pancreatitis-Associated Protein (PAP) and peptide 23, belongs to the Regenerating gene family (Reg), within the superfamily of C-type lectins. It has been classified as a member of the type III subclass of the Reg family. Reg3A has anti-apoptotic effects on pancreatic acinar cells and is a novel motor and sensory neuron survival factor.
