Scientific Data
Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat FABP3/H‑FABP by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human heart tissue, human skeletal muscle tissue, mouse heart tissue, and rat heart tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Rat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat FABP3/H-FABP Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1678) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for FABP3/H-FABP at approximately 14 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
FABP3/H‑FABP in Human Heart. FABP3/H-FABP was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human heart using Rat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat FABP3/H-FABP Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1678) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Rat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS017) and counter-stained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. View our protocol for Chromogenic IHC Staining of Paraffin-embedded Tissue Sections.
Detection of Human and Mouse FABP3/H‑FABP by Simple WesternTM. Simple Western lane view shows lysates of human heart tissue and mouse heart tissue, loaded at 0.2 mg/mL. A specific band was detected for FABP3/H-FABP at approximately 19 kDa (as indicated) using 5 µg/mL of Rat Anti-Human FABP3/H-FABP Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1678) followed by 1:50 dilution of HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 12-230 kDa separation system.

Background: FABP3/H-FABP
Human FABP3, also known as FABP-Heart (H-FABP), FABP-Muscle (M-FABP) and mammary-derived growth inhibitor (MDGI), is a member of the intracellular FABP family. It plays a role in the transport of long chain fatty acids in the cytoplasm.
