Other Bone Remodeling Molecules

In addition to products designed to study bone morphogenetic proteins, bone homeostasis, and chondrogenesis, R&D Systems offers other tools for the study of bone remodeling. These include osteotropic factors, such as retinoic acid (RAR) and vitamin D, which promote bone formation. Molecules that are abundant in osteoblasts and affect the regulation of osteoblast function and differentiation include osteopontin and osteoactivin. In addition, TSH, Prolactin, FGF, and TGF-beta all exert effects that modulate the balance of osteoblast / osteoclast activity.
