Simple Plex Control for Human IL-22 Summary

INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION: For use a quantitative control for the determination of human IL-22 concentrations in biological fluids. Controls are supplied lyophilized. Please refer to the lot specific certificate of analysis and Simple Plex Lyophilized Quality Control product insert for additional information.

Storage

• Store lyophilized controls at 2-8 °C. Lyophilized controls are stable for up to 12 months from date of receipt.
• Reconstituted controls are stable for up to 6 months from date of preparation when stored at ≤ -70 °C. Storage at -20° C is not recommended.
• Individual frozen aliquots of low and high controls are designed as single-use entities. Thaw directly before use and discard any remaining volume.

Background: IL-22

IL-22 (Interleukin-22) is a cytokine that induces the production of reactive oxygen species, IL-6, IL-10, and TNF-alpha as well as neutrophil infiltration during inflammation. It also supports the integrity of epithelial barriers and induces epithelial cell proliferation during wound healing. IL-22 signals through a receptor complex consisting of IL-22 R and IL-10 R beta. IL-10 R beta is a shared component of the receptor complexes for IL-10, IL-26, IL-28, and IL-29. IL-22 additionally binds to IL-22BP which blocks the interaction of IL-22 with IL-22 R.
