Simple Plex Control for Human CXCL13/BLC/BCA-1 Summary

INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION: For use a quantitative control for the determination of human CXCL13/BLC/BCA-1 concentrations in biological fluids. Controls are supplied lyophilized. Please refer to the lot specific certificate of analysis and Simple Plex Lyophilized Quality Control product insert for additional information.

Storage
• Store lyophilized controls at 2-8 °C. Lyophilized controls are stable for up to 12 months from date of receipt.
• Reconstituted controls are stable for up to 6 months from date of preparation when stored at ≤ -70 °C. Storage at -20° C is not recommended.
• Individual frozen aliquots of low and high controls are designed as single-use entities. Thaw directly before use and discard any remaining volume.

Background: CXCL13/BLC/BCA-1

CXCL13/BLC/BCA-1 is a constitutively expressed chemokine that plays an important role in B and T cell homing. It is expressed by salivary gland epithelium, dendritic cells, osteoclasts, and peritoneal macrophages. It can form homodimers or heterodimers with FGF basic, and it signals through CXCR3 or CXCR5. CXCL13 induces the migration of naïve B cells and a subset of memory T cells to lymphoid tissue. It also promotes B1 cell migration into the omentum and peritoneum. In the fetus, CXCL13 attracts CD4+ CD3- IL-7 R alpha+ hematopoietic cells to sites of future Peyer’s patch development.
