Biological Activity

Methylnaltrexone bromide is a peripherally restricted μ-opioid antagonist. Antagonizes the effects of morphine (Cat. No. 5158) on contraction of isolated guinea pig ileum. Quaternary derivative of naltrexone (Cat. No. 0677).
