Scientific Data
Detection of Human Hepassocin by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human liver tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human Hepassocin Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB16141) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF018). A specific band was detected for Hepassocin at approximately 68 kDa for the dimer and 34 kDa for the monomer (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Hepassocin/FGL1 in Human Liver. Hepassocin/FGL1 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human liver using Mouse Anti-Human Hepassocin/FGL1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB16141) at 0.5 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm in nuclei. Background: Hepassocin/FGL1
Hepassocin, also known as hepatocyte-derived fibrinogen-related protein 1 (HFREP-1) and FGL1, is a liver-specific secreted protein belonging to the fibronogen superfamily, whose members share a fibrinogen domain at their C-termini. Hepassocin may play a role in the development of hepatocellular carcinomas.
