Biological Activity
BTZO 1 binds macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF; Kd = 68.6 nM) and activates antioxidant response element (ARE)-mediated gene expression. BTZO 1 suppresses oxidative stress-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis in vitro and is cardioprotective.External Portal Information
