Atherosclerosis Disease Progression Cell Markers
R&D Systems Cell Marker Pages: The Easiest Way to Plan Your Next Experiment
One of the challenges of moving into a new research field or expanding your current field of study is determining the best markers to identify the cells you want. R&D Systems has been providing researchers with reliable tools for defining cell populations for over 30 years. Now we’ve added new Cell Marker Tools for Atherosclerosis, Asthma, and Mucosal Immunity on our website!
Each cell marker page was developed in alignment with a highly educational wall poster that puts these cells into the context of healthy and diseased tissues. The marker pages lead you to our selection of reagents for identifying cell types and studying many different molecules they express. The pages are organized to be meaningful for your research workflow. You can survey different cells that play key roles in these processes, pick out a particular cell type to investigate, and carry out detailed studies into its normal and pathological functions.
To get started with seeing how the Atherosclerosis Disease Progression Cell Markers tool can benefit you, follow these easy steps:
- Click on the tab for myeloid cells, lymphocytes, or non-immune cells and you’ll see:
- Images for different cell types represented in the poster
- Phenotyping suggestions for each myeloid cell or lymphocyte cell type
- Links for additional markers (found just below the images)
- Next, take advantage of the phenotyping suggestions. These are positive and negative selection markers you can use for designing flow cytometry experiments. We’ve included separate lists of human and mouse markers for cells that show major differences between species. When you click on these links, you’ll find all our relevant flow cytometry antibodies and fluorescent antibody conjugates. Monoclonal, polyclonal, and recombinant! Fluorophore conjugated, biotinylated, and unlabeled!
- Once you’ve zeroed in on the cell population you want, you’re ready to dig into their specific activities. Now you can make use of the Additional Markers links. These links expand to show you many other molecules that are expressed by that cell type. They’re organized into Secreted, Cell Surface, and Intracellular categories. The list for macrophages alone includes over 140 molecules and small molecule modulators! Clicking on these links takes you to a complete listing of our products for research on that molecule. Not just antibodies, but also:
- Bioactive proteins
- ELISA kits
- Luminex® assays and antibody arrays
- ELISpot kits
- Small molecules
- Peptides
We want to make sure you have the reagents and kits you need no matter what type of experiments you run. IHC/ICC, flow cytometry, Western blot, cell-based and enzymatic bioassays, blocking/neutralization, ELISA, multi-analyte detection, receptor-ligand interactions, intracellular signaling, cell differentiation, and cell culture. Whew!
